This evening, the following members of the Tarmac JDP attended the Child Safe Officer Course run by the Office for Recreation and Sport. The Tarmac JDP is committed to promoting the well-being and safety of all participants as well as creating a supportive and fun environment for everyone to enjoy motorsport!

Lisa and James and the three JDP cars. Great day overall. All 3 crs were able to driven back onto the trailers at the end of the day. Thanx for all the help from the JDP support team – Duane Gent, Andrew Baohm, Colin & Susan Margaret and Karl Fleming while I was stuck at a flag point. You guys are Champions!
Lisa and Jame drove well all day and could see the improvement with each heat. Good to see Helen from the 2012 JDP at her first Sprint event.
Scottie (Silver) had a good shake down, just the rear brakes need looking at. Cooper (Red) had a near perfect maiden run. Lucas (White car on the right) however lost some power at the end of the day.

It may be worth while inquiring to became a MSCA member if you are planning to do multiple sprints for the discounted entry fee.
With the motor issues with Scottie, it was more ecomical at the time to purchase a complete car. With help from Peter Tann, Karl & James Fleming, the car is almost complete.
We have also sourced a replacement engine for Scottie during the week from Wills Auto Parts near Gawler. If you require any parts for a Korean made car, it would pay to pay them a visit.
The JDP will be part of the 2015 People’s Choice Community Lottery. 150 prizes worth a total of $360,000
For every $2 ticket sold, our club will receive $2, Tickets are $2 each and we retain 100% of all proceeds which we generate through the sale of both paper and online tickets. People’s Choice and their partners meet all the costs associated with prizes, promotional material, advertising, printing of tickets, and coordinate all administrative essentials such as distribution, licensing, and statutory requirements – leaving participating organizations clear of any cost.
Any money we raise from the lottery will be used to fund roll cages for the cars.
Tickets purchased online before 30 April 2015 will go into the draw to win the early bird prize – a Hyundai i20 worth $16,188 (drawn 13 May 2015). That’s a fantastic opportunity to win this great prize. Of course, paper Lottery tickets will be still be issued from 1 May 2015, and both online and paper tickets will be on sale until 18 September. The draw will take place on 20 October 2015.
The Clipsal 500 Adelaide is offering young motorsport enthusiasts the opportunity to be a part of the New Officials Team for the biggest motorsport event on the south Australia calendar – the Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
The 2015 New Officials Team aims to introduce motorsport enthusiasts between the ages of 16 and 25 to the world of motorsport officiating. The successful applicants will be trained in a safe and supportive environment supervised by some of the world’s best motorsport officials. This is a great opportunity to get involved.
This fresh and exciting new program offers 20 successful applicants the opportunity to officiate trackside during V8 Supercars and Support Category Practice sessions, Qualifying sessions and the first race start of the 2015 V8 Supercars Championship.
